Testimonials from your Tourizoom companions: High fever in Barcelona August 15th 2009 - Jérôme explains: "A very concerned lady called us today around noon. Her boyfriend had spent 2 days in bed in his hotel room with a high fever which apparently would not go down despite all the aspirin he kept taking. I calmly suggested to her to take action immediately. First I suggested calling the global European emergency number "112" where I explain she should be able to find multilingual medical assistance. As a backup, I also offer to look for a French speaking doctor in Barcelona; or at least a doctor willing to come to the hotel for a visit. She agrees. I looked for the information and called her back with the names and phone numbers for 3 French speaking doctors in the city. Thankfully, calling "112" had already solved the problem; and a doctor was already on the way. I tell her how happy and relieved I am and remind her that I am here to help with interpreting from Spanish if needed. She was very grateful but I tell her with a smile that I am a white Knight in Shining Armor disguised as an operator; therefore being helpful is only but my duty :)" |
